INTRODUCTION

The Institute provides tax-related Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes as part of its continuous effort to meet the training needs of the CTIM members, as well as members of the public who are interested in our training programmes. To help professionals in the tax field keep abreast with developments and current issues, the Institute organises talks, seminars, workshops, webinars and conferences.

Participants of our CPD programmes comprise tax practitioners, Company Directors, Company Secretaries, Financial Controllers, Lawyers, Auditors and Accountants, and many others from the tax firms as well as commercial sectors.

CPD Points

CPD points are awarded on the basis of one point per hour for the programmes organised by the Institute. The CPD points attained for each event will be indicated on the Certificate of Attendance issued at the end of the programme.

All participants in the CPD programmes will be presented with the Certificate of Attendance upon successful completion of the programmes. CTIM’s CPD points are recognised and qualify as CPD points by the Minister of Finance (MOF) for the application and renewal of tax agent licence under Section 153, Income Tax Act 1967.

In addition, the CPD points awarded are also recognised for renewal of MIA membership.
