INTRODUCTION

PROFILE(s)

Evelyn Lee has over 25 years’ working experience in taxation, servicing mainly multinational companies and local conglomerates in industries such as manufacturing, electronics and semiconductors, property development and construction and hotel. Other than annual tax compliance assignments, her experience includes tax planning and advisory work for clientele ranging fromtrading, manufacturing and property development companies, tax audits, tax
investigations and tax diagnostic review exercises, corporate tax planning of mergers, acquisitions and divestment of Companies, performance of tax due diligence of various companies and applications for tax incentives and exemption of Real Property Gains Tax and Stamp Duties. Evelyn is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS), an Associate member of Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM), and a licensed tax agent.
Kellee Khoo has over 19 years of tax experience specializing in corporate tax, consultancy and appeals. She started her career with Arthur Andersen HRM (Tax Svcs) Sdn Bhd in 2000; moved on to Ernst & Young Tax Consultants Sdn Bhd and joined PricewaterhouseCoopers Taxation Services Sdn Bhd in 2003. She was with PwC until 2012 when she left to start up her own firm, T & K Tax Savvy Sdn Bhd.
Tan Hooi Beng is the Deputy Tax Leader of Deloitte Malaysia. He is also the International Tax Leader for Malaysia and Southeast Asia. He has more than 22 years of experience in corporate and international tax. He has vast experience in advising multinational corporations on corporate structuring and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, international offshore financial centers, business model optimization, tax treaties, and cross-border taxation generally. In recent years,
he has been very much involved in BEPS 1.0 and BEPS 2.0 related projects. He serves local and multi-national corporations in telecommunication products and services, software and hardware solutions, health and medical, manufacturing, real estate, oil and gas, hotel, retail and information technology industry, etc. Hooi Beng is a council member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, a Chartered Accountant of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, a member of The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as a licensed tax agent under the Malaysian Income Tax Act, 1967. He holds a Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Malaya. Hooi Beng has been listed in the current edition of “The World’s Leading Tax Advisers” (Euromoney).
Zen Chow is the Tax Practice Leader in YYC Group. He specialises in both direct and indirect Malaysian taxation. He has been involved in the tax compliance and tax advisory works for various industries and was a part-time lecturer for Malaysia Taxation in Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UniRazak). He is Tax and GST Agent approved by MOF. Zen Chow graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Business and Commerce – double major in Accounting & Banking and Finance. He is a Chartered Accountant by profession after admission as a qualified member of the MIA and also a Council Member of CTIM.
